Ten passengers travelling in a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) bus, heading toward Thirukollikadu from Tiruvarur, sustained injuries after the vehicle overturned near Thiruneiper on Saturday (May 23, 2026) morning.
The TNSTC operates special bus services on Saturdays to Thirukollikadu for devotees to visit the hamlet’s Sri Agneeswarar temple.
On Saturday morning, the bus that left Tiruvarur overturned while passing through a narrow road abutting a canal at Thiruneiper after the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle.
All the injured passengers were rushed to the Government Medical College hospital at Tiruvarur, sources said.
