Amid a growing perception that the government has not been effectively countering Opposition criticism, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed Government Whips to strongly defend the administration using facts and figures, while remaining closely connected with public issues at the grassroots level.

Chairing a meeting with Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council Whips at the MCRHRD Institute in Hyderabad on Sunday, the Chief Minister described Whips as the “eyes and ears of the government.”
