Additional Chief Secretary Gagandeep Singh Bedi has been appointed Secretary, Municipal Administration and Water Supply, a department which is handled by Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay. Earlier, he served as the Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department. He has been replaced there by Prashant M. Wadnere, who was the Secretary (Expenditure) in the Finance Department.

According to a Government Order issued on Monday (May 18, 2026), Additional Chief Secretary P. Amudha has been appointed the Secretary of the Cooperation, Food, and Consumer Protection Department. She was earlier the Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department. She has been replaced by K.S. Palaniswamy, who was serving in the Cooperation, Food, and Consumer Protection Department.

Principal Secretary Satyabrata Sahoo has been appointed as the Secretary of the Water Resources Department. Sunchonngam Jatak  Chiru has been appointed the Secretary of the Public Works Department. He will also hold charge as the Principal Secretary of the Natural Resources Department. Anil  Meshram has been appointed the Principal Secretary of the Energy Department, while M. Vallalar has been made the Principal Secretary of the Transport Department.

V. Dakshinamoorthy is the Secretary of the Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, and Minorities Welfare Department, while  Sajjansingh R. Chavan has been appointed the Secretary of the Youth Welfare and Sports Development Department. G. K. Arun Sundar has been appointed the Inspector-General of Registration. Earlier, he was the Special Secretary to the Finance Department.

G. Lakshmipathy, formerly Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed the Joint Secretary in the Finance Department. T. Anand, Commissioner of the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board. A. R. Rahul Nath, Director of Environment and Climate Change, has been appointed as the Member-Secretary of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority.

G.S. Sameeran is the new Commissioner of the Greater Chennai Corporation. He replaces J. Kumaragurbharan. M. Arthi has been appointed the Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women, while Dinesh Ponraj is the new Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board.
