After the severe drubbing of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in the Assembly election, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan tendered the resignation of his Left Democratic Front government to Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar here on Monday.

In a press note issued by the office of the Governor, it was stated that the Governor accepted the resignation of Mr. Vijayan and requested him to continue in office until alternative arrangements are made.
