A Plus Two student from Farook Higher Secondary School drowned in the Pathankayam waterfalls in Kozhikode district on Sunday (May 3, 2026). The victim was identified as Shabeel, a native of Kolathara. The accident occurred when the 17-year-old was bathing in a restricted area along with friends. The body was recovered with the support of a Fire and Rescue Services squad from Mukkom.
