A family trip turned tragic after three members of a family in Kannur, including a toddler, were killed in a road accident near Gudlupet in Karnataka in the early hours of Sunday (May 3, 2026).
The deceased are Muneera, 45, a native of Vettillapally, Muneer, 30, Muneera’s son-in-law from Mamburam in Malappuram, and three-and-a-half-year-old Mohis Zidan, her grandchild.
According to relatives, the seven-member family had set out for Ooty on a leisure trip late on Saturday (May 2, 2026) night after attending a wedding function in Thalassery. The car they were travelling in reportedly collided with a lorry near Gudlupet, around 10 km from the town.
