Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will visit Shivamogga on June 1 to launch various government works, including the new Karnataka Public Schools, as announced in the Budget.
Shivamogga Deputy Commissioner Prabhulinga Kavalikatti held a meeting with officers here on Monday on the preparations for the CM’s event.
Mr. Siddaramaiah would be inaugurating the KPS, proposed to be started this year across the State. Besides that, he would lay foundation stones for various works, inaugurate the completed structures and distribute benefits of different schemes to the eligible applicants, Mr. Kavalikatti said.
The Chief Minister would also distribute title deeds and other land-related documents that had remained unresolved for several years. He would be accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Minister for School Education Madhu Bangarappa and several other Ministers.
Mr. Kavalikatti instructed the officers to make arrangements for the programme. Over two lakh people, including the beneficiaries of the five guarantee schemes, are expected to attend the programme.
Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer N. Hemanth, Superintendent of Police Nikhil B. and others were present at the meeting.
