An official statement said on-the-spot admission for a few vacancies in the postgraduate course being offered by the MSU is going on.

Students can apply for joining the postgraduate programmes in Tamil, English, History, Archaeology, Sociology, Journalism and Mass Communication, Economics, Commerce, Mathematics, Physics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Organic Chemistry, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Education, Physical Education, Environmental Science, Wildlife Biology, Nano Science, Applied Geophysics, Applied Physics, Micro Biology, Marine Biotechnology, Botany, Zoology, Statistics and Master of Engineering – Computer Science.

Moreover, spot admission is given for Postgraduate Diploma in Renewable Energy Science Management and Auditing, Certificate in Library Science, Integrated Master of Library Science, Folklore, Anthropology, 5-year integrated programmes in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Environmental Science in Sri Paramakalyani Centre of Excellence in Environmental Sciences, Alwarkurichi and Marine Science in Centre for Marine Science and Technology, Rajakkalmangalam and undergraduate programme in Data Science.
