Cadre of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) celebrated across Erode and Salem districts after the party won the trust vote in the State Legislative Assembly on Wednesday (May 13, 2026).
Party workers gathered at key junctions soon after the result was announced. They burst firecrackers, distributed sweets to the public and raised slogans praising the party leadership. Carrying party flags, the cadre also hailed Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay.
Party functionaries described the outcome as a significant political development and said it had boosted the morale of cadre at the grassroots level. Several supporters said the victory reflected public confidence in the party’s leadership and organisational strength. Of the eight Assembly constituencies in Erode district, the party won five in the recently held election.
Similarly, in Salem city, the party cadre gathered in various localities and celebrated the victory in the trust vote. They burst firecrackers and raised slogans, describing the outcome as a victory for the people and a new beginning in State politics with a focus on public welfare.
