The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has urged the ESIC beneficiaries above the age of 40 to get whole body medical screening as mandated by the Union Government.

According to Joint Director of ESIC, Tirunelveli Region, Bhaskar, full-body check-up for ESIC beneficiaries above the age of 40 had been mandated by the Union Government and hence the ESIC’s Tirunelveli Region had communicated this information to all the registered firms. However, only 50 persons had benefited since November 2025 due to lack of awareness and hence the firms had been intimated again to encourage their employees to utilise this facility.

ESIC beneficiaries working with the firms situated within 30 Km from the ESIC Hospital, Vannarpet should come to this hospital at 8.30 a.m. for the annual full-body check-up in empty stomach – without even taking tea or coffee. The investigations would be completed by 12 noon and results and certificate given thereafter. Those who require further specialised treatment would be referred to the listed hospitals or the ESIC Regional Hospital at Vannarpet.

The beneficiaries could submit through QR code their reviews and the suggestions or negative comments which would get properly rectified.

“The ESIC beneficiaries should get all relevant information pertaining to their welfare from the nearest ESIC office so that they can avail the benefits properly,” Mr. Bhaskar said.
