The trial in the case related to the sexual assault and murder of a 10-year-old girl near Sulur in Coimbatore district will commence in the Special Court for cases registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act here on June 24.
The prosecution submitted a list of witnesses to be examined on the first day of trial before the POCSO court on Tuesday (June 16). Judge T. Bagavathiammal adjourned the case to June 24 for trial, which will begin with the examination of witnesses.
The two accused in the case, K. Karthi (35) and R. Mohan (31) of Pallapalayam near Sulur, were not produced before the court on Tuesday. The court framed charges against them on Monday.
