Setting its sights on replicating its dramatic rise in West Bengal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has used its unprecedented electoral gains in Kerala at the Assembly polls as a springboard to project a long-term strategy for power in the state.

At a reception held at the party’s State headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday, MLA-designates Rajeev Chandrasekhar, V. Muraleedharan and B.B. Gopakumar framed their victories not as isolated successes, but as the opening chapter of a broader political shift.
