The Covai Manchester Kennel Club (CMKC), affiliated with The Kennel Club of India, hosted its 5th & 6th All Breeds Championship Dog Show at the Hindusthan College of Arts and Science here on Sunday.

The event witnessed over 400 entries representing 50 distinct varieties of dogs across 11 competitive groups. The dogs were evaluated by Shharat Sharma, T. Preetam, and Ranjeet S. Munjal, all representing India. The event drew participants from Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, West Bengal, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala besides Tamil Nadu. Popular breeds, including Great Dane, Dobermann, German Shepherd, and Golden and Labrador Retrievers, alongside Dachshund and Pug took part. A major highlight of the show was the display of Indian native breeds Kombai, Kanni, Chippiparai, and Rajapalayam.

CMKC president Dhanu Roy and secretary R. Saravanakumar were present.
