A spectator was gored to death by a bull during a manjuvirattu event near Madagupatti in Sivaganga on Sunday. Police said Padmanabhan, 35, of Kandaramanickam near Tiruppatur, was witnessing the event organised on the occasion of the Puravi Eduppu festival at Alavakkottai near Madagupatti, when the bull charged at him. He sustained serious injuries and was admitted to the Sivaganga Government Medical College Hospital where he succumbed. The Madagupatti police have registered a case.
