Karur MP S. Jothimani on Friday said that the State government is on track to control drug trafficking.
She told reporters here that Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay was going all out to control the drug menace in the State. It was a national issue and the State government had taken the menace very seriously and it had taken a number of steps to check the flow of drugs. It was doing very well in controlling the menace. Tough action was being taken against those selling drugs. Similarly, the functioning of Tasmac outlets had been trimmed down. It was observed that the police personnel in Karur were acting swiftly as soon as they received inputs on drug trafficking.
“The menace is under control. It should be ensured that no person aged below 21 gets liquor in any manner,” Ms. Jothimani added.
