A bomb threat email was sent to the city police commissioner’s office, claiming that explosives had been planted at the Passport Seva Kendra in Saligramam on Friday. Following the alert, the police rushed to the Passport Seva Kendra and carried out intensive checks with the help of the bomb detection and disposal squad. Sniffer dogs were also deployed. Officials said the building and surrounding areas were thoroughly searched, but no explosives were found. The police later confirmed that the threat was a hoax. Further investigation is under way.
