Seeking to improve public access to welfare programmes and spread awareness of Central government initiatives, Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar on Tuesday launched a Central Government Schemes Fair in Mysuru and announced plans to hold similar events every quarter across the constituency.

The fair, organised at the MP’s office in the CADA Building, served as a platform where citizens could obtain information, seek clarifications and receive guidance on availing Central government schemes.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Wadiyar said many welfare schemes introduced by the Central government were designed to improve the lives of citizens, but their success depended on effective outreach and awareness.

“Several schemes launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are intended to benefit people across all sections of society. This fair aims to create a direct interface between the government and the people,” he said.

Most schemes pertain to Kodagu and Mysuru, the MP said, urging the people gathered to make use of the facility.

Stating that the initiative would become a quarterly exercise, the MP said regular outreach programmes would help ensure that government benefits reach every eligible citizen. He also expressed confidence that the fair would grow in scale and participation in the coming months.

The initiative is expected to enhance awareness of Central government programmes and make access to welfare benefits easier for residents across Mysuru-Kodagu constituency.

The venue was crowded with people wishing to avail the benefits of the Central programmes. On the occasion, the MP also distributed benefits under the schemes..
