The police have registered a case following the alleged theft of an answer sheet during the evaluation of a Kerala Technological University (KTU) B.Tech. examination at Kundoormala Engineering College, Thalassery.

According to the police report, the incident occurred between 1:30 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. on June 11, 2026, at the engineering college in Eranholi village. Nisha P., a resident of Kavumbagam in Thalassery and an evaluator, reported that an answer sheet for the Power Electronics Drives subject of the second-year BTech Electrical Engineering examination conducted by the KTU had gone missing.

According to the first information report, an unidentified person allegedly stole the answer paper during the evaluation process with “dishonest intent”.

Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under Section 305(a) and initiated an investigation. V.V. Deepthi, the investigating officer, has been assigned to probe the incident. Further investigation is under way.
