Seven workers were injured after a government bus collided with a goods vehicle near Thiruppuvanam here on Sunday.
Police said, workers have been engaged in the renovation work of the Madurai-Rameswaram four-lane road.
On Sunday, they were traveling in a goods vehicle near a place called Vannikkottai, close to Thiruppuvanam in Sivaganga district.
At that time, a government bus traveling from Ramanathapuram to Madurai crashed into the rear of the goods vehicle.
In this accident, seven workers who were in the goods vehicle sustained injuries. They were admitted to the Madurai Government Rajaji Hospital.
Thiruppuvanam police are investigating the matter.
