Yashpal Suvarna, Udupi MLA, on Friday instructed Udupi City Municipal Council (CMC) officials to ensure an uninterrupted supply of drinking water to the people of Udupi city during the summer.
Speaking to officials while visiting the Baje Vented Dam, which supplies drinking water to Udupi, the MLA said that the water level in the dam is low. But Udupi city also gets water from the Varahi project. Hence, there should not be any scarcity in the supply of water.
The MLA also discussed with officials regarding the inflow of water to the dam.
