Technology Day contests
Students of Jamal Mohamed College of Teacher Education celebrated National Technology Day by showcasing their talents in a series of competitions organised by the institution’s Digi Dreamers Educational Technology Club recently. Competitions such as Meme Creation, Type Testing, Reels Making, E-Content Video Creation, Poster Presentation, and Quiz Competition were conducted to encourage creativity and digital learning skills among participants. Cultural programmes, including dance performances and singing, added vibrancy to the celebration. Principal G. Chandrakumar gave away the prizes.
Green rankings award
Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Arts and Science for Women, Perambalur, has won the Titanium Band award from the Sustainable Institutions of India (SII) – Green Rankings 2026, for environmental sustainability and green campus development.
College holds convocation
A total of 146 students received their degrees at the 21st graduation day of Kings College of Engineering in Punalkulam, near Thanjavur recently. Principal J. Arputha Vijaya Selvi, presented the graduation day report. R.Rajendran, Secretary delivered the presidential address.
Placement programme
Students of EGS Pillay Group of Institutions, Nagapattinam, who secured placements during the academic year 2025–2026, were honoured at a programme titled ‘Zenith ’26’, hosted by the institution’s Department of Training and Placement recently. The achievements in 2026 included a highest salary package of ₹12 lakh per annum (LPA), 1,963 placement offers, participation of 244 companies, and more than 465 offers above ₹3 lakh per annum.
