Beside the bus stand in front of Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in south Bengaluru, a heap of garbage has been causing misery to hospital visitors and daily commuters. “It’s been there for months. Even after multiple complaints, it hasn’t been cleared,” said the hospital’s security guard. According to officials, despite regular cleaning, the garbage keeps reappearing.
With the Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML) attempting to enforce the new solid waste management rules, the city is witnessing an uptick in garbage black spots.
