Former Minister T. Jeevan Reddy, who joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) recently, criticised the State government for its failure to implement the fee reimbursement scheme properly while the managements of private colleges are harassing students by holding back their certificates citing non-receipt of fee reimbursement from the government even after completion of the academic year.

While the students were worried about pursuing education further in the absence of certificates, the college managements had moved the court seeking directions to the government for release of fee reimbursement funds, Mr. Jeevan Reddy said addressing a press conference here on Saturday. As the government had failed to release fee reimbursement funds, the court had allowed some managements to collect the fee from parents for the issuance of certificates.
