Assistant Commissioner of Labour (Enforcement) Malarkodi on Saturday said that notices had been issued to shops and hotels that had not adhered to the rules stipulated for ‘May Day’ holiday.

According to a press release, the officials conducted checks in Dindigul, Palani, Nilakottai and Kodaikanal, among other locations in the district, and found that the rules of May 1, which has to be observed as May Day and employees be paid wages with a holiday, were not followed.
