School Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa, who is also the in-charge Minister of Shivamogga, on Tuesday (April 28) visited villages in Bhadravathi taluk hit by high-speed wind and rainfall. He instructed officers to assess the loss and take immediate measures to provide relief to the affected people.
The high-speed wind accompanied by rainfall that lashed parts of Bhadravathi taluk brought down hundreds of areca and coconut trees. Many houses were damaged partially. As hundreds of electric poles were uprooted, many villages lost their power supply.
