A 25-year-old beautician was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband at a building in Kavadiguda under the Gandhinagar police station limits on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Debora, a mother of two, who worked at a salon located on the fourth floor of a building housing a Ratnadeep supermarket.
According to the police, the incident was reported around 10.30 a.m. shortly after the woman arrived at her workplace. Gandhi Nagar ACP A. Yadagiri said the accused, identified as Raju, an auto driver and the victim’s husband, followed her to the building, attacked her with a knife on the fourth floor and fled the scene.
Preliminary investigation suggested that the accused suspected his wife’s fidelity and the couple had been having frequent quarrels over the issue. Police said the couple had argued again on Tuesday morning before the woman left for work.
Officials said the victim had not been attending work for the past 10 to 12 days and had resumed work only on Tuesday.
Teams from the Gandhinagar police station and the Clues Team rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation. Police are examining CCTV footage to trace the accused.
