Telangana Shiv Sena president Sinkar Shivaji said that Union Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Pratap Rao Jadhav had assured support and medical assistance to the minor after being informed of the incident. In a statement, Mr. Shivaji, who, along with party State general secretary G. Sudhakar, visited NIMS Hospital to meet the victim and her family on Saturday, condemned the alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-old minor girl in Khammam district and criticised what he described as a delay in bringing the matter to light.
Mr. Shivaji said he had brought the matter to the Union Minister’s attention following the incident. Mr. Jadhav reportedly spoke to the victim’s parents through a video call, sought details of the case, and urged them to remain courageous. He assured the family that justice would be ensured.
The Union Minister also indicated that he would speak to authorities at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad, to facilitate better medical care for the minor, who is currently undergoing treatment.
