Cauvery integrated drinking water supply will not be available on Wednesday and Thursday in Sivaganga due to maintenance work to be carried out on the main pumping pipelines originating from the head pumping station. 

Due to monthly maintenance work to be carried out at Mutharasanallur head pumping station of the Ramanathapuram Combined Drinking Water Scheme (Cauvery) in Tiruchi on May 6, there will be a power shutdown. Consequently, repair works have been planned for the main pumping pipelines. Hence, the Cauvery integrated drinking water supply will be suspended for two days in Sivaganga district, Collector K. Porkodi has said in a press release.
