Cordon and Search Operations were conducted across the limits of three police stations in Atmakur division on Sunday with the objective to maintain law and order and prevent anti-social activities.
During the raids, illicit liquor and illegally stored liquor bottles were seized, and cases were registered against the accused.
According to an official release, the Atmakur Circle Inspector and staff conducted the Cordon and Search Operation in the Shikari Peta area of Nandikotkur during which 15 liters of illicit arrack was seized. Police said the person behind the illegal activity absconded and a case has been registered against the accused.
In Mothukuru village of Velugodu Police limits, police seized 20 bottles of liquor stored illegally and a case has been registered.
Miduturu and Muchumarri police jointly conducted a Cordon and Search Operation in Lakshmapuram village where suspicious persons were detained and questioned.
Following the searches, the police organized special awareness meetings with local residents in the respective areas urging the people to cooperate in eradicating the menace of drugs. They administered a pledge to the public to curb drug abuse.
They advised the youth and the general public to remain vigilant against online fraud, cybercrimes, and online betting. Emphasizing the importance of women’s safety, they explained the harmful consequences of child marriage and urged people to use the ‘Shakti App’ during emergencies.
Police also stressed the necessity of strictly adhering to traffic rules while traveling. Police urged the public to immediately call 100 or 112 to inform the police in the event of any emergency or if they have information regarding anti-social activities.
