A 23-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by his relative in Sirkazhi in Mayiladuthurai district during a spat over money, and the accused has been arrested on Saturday.
The police identified the deceased as K. Maruthupandiyan of Karimedu Main Road. The accused, M. Karthi, 30, a neighbour and relative of the victim, has been arrested.
