M.D. Sumathi, Special Judge of the Fast Track Court in Puducherry, on Tuesday sought a report from the Probation Officer on the accused who had been recently convicted in the case pertaining to the sexual assault and murder of a nine-year-old girl in Puducherry two years ago.

Last week, the Judge had held Kaka alias Karnas guilty of all charges, including gang-rape, murder, and kidnapping under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and had posted the case for next hearing on May 5 for sentencing.
