A Youth Congress delegation from Jewargi taluk submitted a memorandum written in blood to All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge, requesting that Jewargi MLA and KKRDB chairman Ajay Singh be inducted into the State Cabinet.
A delegation led by Riyaz Patel Mudabal, president of the Jewargi Youth Congress, met Mr. Kharge in Kalaburagi on Sunday (May 31) and submitted a memorandum urging the party leadership to consider Dr. Singh’s inclusion in the State Cabinet, citing strong support from the constituency’s youth.
Mr. Mudabal said Dr. Singh is regarded as a youth icon and a key leader in the Kalyana Karnataka region. He added that granting him a ministerial position would help advance the region’s development aspirations.
“This memorandum reflects the sentiments of the youth in Jewargi. Dr. Singh has maintained a close rapport with people across communities and carries forward the legacy of his father and former Chief Minister, N. Dharam Singh,” he said.
Party workers said there is growing demand within the constituency for Dr. Singh’s elevation to the Cabinet, given his rapport with young voters and local support base.
Youth Congress leaders, including former Youth Congress taluk president Mallikarjun Budiyal, Chandrashekhar Neradigi, and supporters of Dr. Singh from the constituency were present.
