Senior Communist Party of India (CPI) leader K.E. Ismail has said that the Left Democratic Front (LDF)’s debacle in the Assembly elections stemmed from public disagreement with outgoing Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s approach.

Mr. Ismail alleged that the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] bore the responsibility for the defeat and that there were multiple issues within the Left Democratic Front (LDF).
