District Collector Sumit Kumar assured mango farmers that over 80 per cent of the pulp has already been sold, and there is no cause for panic as the mango pulp situation is better than last year. The Collector held a review meeting on pulp stocks and related aspects on Tuesday (May 12, 2026).
In a statement, the Collector said that pulp owners have assured the district administration that mango processing will begin on time and that they will do their best to assist farmers. He also noted that this year 6.5 crore mango covers were distributed, and the coloured variety of Totapuri mango is expected to fetch better prices.
