Anakapalli Town Police on Saturday (June 27, 2026) arrested a woman allegedly involved in a series of thefts targeting women traveling in autorickshaws and recovered 2.5 tolas of gold ornaments and ₹14,000 in cash. The accused was identified as G. Meena (32), a resident of Kottavalasa village in Vizianagaram district. According to the police, Meena has been involved in two such cases—one at Bheemunigummam on June 11 and another at Gandhi Nagar on June 17.
