Following the fatal accident that claimed six lives on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and complaints over prolonged traffic stoppages during movement of convoys, Telangana Director General of Police C.V. Anand on Saturday directed traffic police officials to ensure effective traffic management without causing inconvenience to motorists.
The DGP held a review meeting with Joint Commissioners of Police (Traffic) and Deputy Commissioners of Police (Traffic) under GHMC limits at his office. On May 1, six people died near Shamshabad (Exit 16) when a speeding car rammed into a parked lorry, while on May 2, a car overturned near Tukkuguda (Exit 14), leaving five others injured.
