Three persons were injured after the car they were travelling in crashed into a stationary truck near Padappai in Kancheepuram district on Friday.
A senior police official of the Tambaram Police Commissionerate said Arunachalam, Asif Ali, and Murali, residents of Cheyyar in Tiruvannamalai District, were travelling to the Koyambedu flower market on Thursday night. Asif Ali fell asleep while driving through Athanancheri near Padappai and crashed into the rear of a truck that was parked on the roadside. In the impact, the car was completely damaged, trapping all three occupants inside.
