A private security guard was arrested by the Race Course police for reportedly dousing a female co-employee of the security agency near Sungam and attempting to set her afire.
He was reportedly overpowered by the firm Manager and other employees. Gubendran (39) was arrested based on a complaint lodged by Krishnaveni.
Hoax bomb threat to Coimbatore Collectorate
The Coimbatore Collectorate on Friday morning received a bomb threat call for the 36th time so far over the last year. After a two-hour search by a team of the Race Course police, and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, the threat was declared a hoax.
AAI employee ends life
A woman employee of Airports Authority of India aged 35 years reportedly ended her life in her quarters in Peelamedu limits, supposedly in a state of depression.
The police took possession of the body of Anjitha hailing from Ernakulam in Kerala for autopsy at Coimbatore Medical College Hospital.
