The inauguration of the Mysuru-Hyderabad flight service has sparked criticism from city-based trade and tourism bodies, which said they were “excluded” from the official launch event despite their long-standing efforts to improve air connectivity.
The additional flight service linking Mysuru with Hyderabad was launched on May 1 by MP for Mysuru Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar in the presence of airport authorities. While the launch has been welcomed by the stakeholders as a boost to regional connectivity, the manner in which the event was conducted has drawn objections.
