The Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday transferred 15 Indian Police Service officers and appointed G. Venkataraman, who was earlier the Director General of Police (DGP) / Head of Police Force (HoPF) (in-charge), as DGP, Civil Supplies CID.

K. Bhavaneeswari, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Headquarters at the office of the DGP/HoPF, has been transferred and posted as the newly created IGP, Singapenn Special Force.

Avinash Kumar, IGP, on compulsory wait has been posed as IGP, General replacing Praveen Kumar Abhinapu, who is transferred and posed as IGP North Zone in the existing vacancy. A.Saravana Sundar, IGP on compulsory wait has been posted as IGP, Crime, Chennai in the existing vacancy, while, J. Mahesh, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) on compulsory wait has been posted as DIG, Vellore range in the existing vacancy.

P. Vijaya Kumar, DIG/ Joint Commissioner of Police, South, Greater Chennai Police, has been transferred and posted as DIG/ Joint Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, South, Greater Chennai Police in the existing vacancy. Abhishek Gupta, Superintendent of Police (SP), Pudukottai district has been posted as SP, Thoothukudi district in the existing vacancy, while S. Brinda, SP, Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police, Regimental Centre, Avadi has been posted as SP, The Nilgiris District.

I.Shahnaz, SP-I, Cyber Crimes Division, Cyber Crime Division in Chennai has been posted as SP, Kallakurichi district, replacing S. Aravind, who has been posted as SP, Kancheepuram district. Allatipalli Pavan Kumar Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Tambaram, Tambaram Police Commissionerate has been posted as SP, Coimbatore district, replacing K. Karthikeyan. He will be replacing Mr. Reddy’s position in Tambaram Police Commissionerate.

V. Satish Kumar, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Thiruvannamalai Town, Thiruvannamalai district, has been promoted to the rank of SP and posted as SP, Thiruvarur district in the existing vacancy, while Ravindra Kumar Gupta, ASP, Villupuram Subdivision, Villupuram district has been promoted to the rank of SP and posted as SP, Pudukottai district.
