Nearly two months after the murder of an 82-year-old woman in a gated community in Coimbatore, a 69-year-old woman was found murdered in an apartment in the city on May 3, 2026 (Sunday). The police said that T. Gomathy, who lived alone in an apartment on Trichy Road, near Sungam, was found dead.

According to the police, Gomathy was residing on the second floor of the apartment complex. Her husband Thangaraj, who worked in the Registration Department, had passed away. Her son and daughter are employed abroad.
