A large python swallowed a monkey in a farm located between Kosam and Kashempur villages in Bhalki taluk of Bidar district on Monday, drawing hundreds of curious villagers to the spot.
According to eyewitnesses, the giant snake had tightly coiled itself around the monkey before partially swallowing it.
The unusual incident quickly attracted a large crowd from nearby villages, while personnel from Dhannur Police Station rushed to the scene to manage the situation.
After being alerted, officials from the Forest Department arrived at the location along with reptile experts. The team safely rescued the python and shifted it away from the area.
Forest officials urged residents not to panic and appealed to the public to immediately inform authorities in case of wildlife sightings in human habitations.
