He thanked the people for their blessings in his becoming the Chief Minister and said the constituency would be transformed into a role model for the country. Accordingly, an industrial park was being established in 2,300 acres at Lagacherla and a major roadway connecting Kodangal with the airport was being developed. A year deadline for Narayanpet-Kodangal lift irrigation scheme
The Chief Minister directed the officials to complete all developmental works in the constituency by next year end. On the irrigation front, he wanted speedy completion of Narayanpet-Kodangal lift irrigation scheme for bringing Krishna water to the constituency and set a year’s deadline for them. Minister V. Srihari had been entrusted with the responsibility of acquisition of the land required for the project and the process was likely to be completed within a year.
He recalled the plight of the people in the past when they used to travel to Vikarabad and Parigi for educational needs and said several initiatives had been launched for giving access to education and healthcare for the poor. The constituency was bereft with geographical challenges owing to its location in the higher altitudes which denied any possibility of accessing water resources. Steps were therefore initiated to provide connectivity to all villages and thandas.

The Chief Minister earlier laid foundation stone for construction of Sri Venkateswara temple in Kodangal and said the rituals performed at the Kodangal temple should strictly adhere to the same traditions followed at Tirupati. Construction of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Doulthabad and a Venugopala Swamy temple in Kosgi were also in progress.
