Ride-hailing aggregator Rapido has launched an electric buggy service at KSR Bengaluru City railway station on a pilot basis to facilitate passenger movement within the station. Commuters are charged a flat fare of ₹12 per seat for travel from the platforms to the designated pickup area outside the station.

A Rapido spokesperson said the buggy service has been designed to ease the post-travel rush for commuters. “Recognising that the journey doesn’t end at the platform, we have set up a dedicated, fully air-conditioned Rapido Lounge where travellers can unwind and escape the heat while waiting for their ride,” the spokesperson said.

The buggy service ferries passengers directly from the platforms to an organised pickup point where autorickshaws and cabs are available. “Our on-ground team is stationed throughout the process to assist with luggage and navigation, ensuring that commuters feel supported and safe,” the spokesperson added.

The fare of ₹12 per seat is a fixed charge set by the railway station authorities. According to Rapido, the buggy ride is effectively free of cost, as the amount paid is fully redeemable against any future Rapido ride.
