Hafiz Syed Muhammad Ali Al-Hussaini, the Sajjada Nashin of the Hazrat Khwaja Banda Nawaz Dargah and chairman of the Karnataka State Waqf Board, on Friday formally invited Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar to participate in the 622nd Urs Sharif celebrations to be held here from May 3 to 5.
During a meeting here, he spoke about the significance of the annual Urs, which commemorates the death anniversary of the Sufi saint Hazrat Khwaja Banda Nawaz and draws devotees from across the country.
