A POCSO Court in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday stayed further proceedings on a private complaint involving the girl who went ‘viral’ during the Maha Kumbh Mela. The complaint alleged that her marriage was conducted while she was a minor, and sought to arraign the political leaders who attended her wedding held at a temple at Arumanoor in Thiruvananthapuram on March 11.
Thiruvananthapuram Additional Sessions Court Judge Shibu M.P. also sought a detailed report from the Madhya Pradesh Police that has been probing a related case regarding the girl’s age.
