District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore on Monday directed officials to conduct detailed inquiries into grievances received through the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) and ensure timely, quality resolutions.
Reviewing petitions during the Praja Samasya Parishkara Vedika programme held at the Collectorate, he asked officials handling complex complaints to personally verify facts and upload reports to the portal instead of transferring cases to other departments. “Every petition should be examined thoroughly to identify the root cause and ensure justice to the public,” he said.
A total of 325 petitions were received during the programme. Of these, 104 pertained to the Revenue Department, 68 to the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), 34 to the Police Department, and 119 to other departments.
