Chief Minister N.. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday asked officials to ensure transparent governance and expedite delivery of welfare schemes, while reiterating that the NDA government was implementing multiple initiatives to achieve economic empowerment for every family in Andhra Pradesh.
After participating in the Sanjeevani programme at Kandrika village of Yadamarri mandal in Chittoor district, the Chief Minister chaired an extensive review of development works and performance of various government departments.
District in-charge Minister M. Ramprasad Reddy, Chittoor MP D. Prasada Rao, Puthalapattu MLA Murali Mohan, District Collector Sumit Kumar, Tata Group CEO Girish Krishnamurthy, and personnel of the Sanjeevani project attended the meeting.
Mr. Naidu directed special inspection teams responsible for monitoring government services in the Assembly constituencies to function more effectively and vigilantly over the delivery of public services at the ground level. “Public satisfaction with government services has increased from 69% to 72%. Officials must work towards achieving 90% satisfaction levels by October,” the Chief Minister said.
Appreciating the performance in areas such as Backward Classes welfare, Anna Canteens, Anganwadi centres, social welfare hostels, mid-day meal scheme, and the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF), Mr. Naidu said these parameters should be considered vital. He further expressed happiness at the functioning of tribal welfare institutions, BC welfare hostels, and services extended to pregnant women and lactating mothers.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister expressed concern over the functioning of departments such as Civil Supplies, Endowments, Revenue, School Education, Transport, and Roads and Buildings. He asked officials to improve accountability and stated that “performance records will be strictly considered.”
Referring to land-related issues, Mr. Naidu said the government introduced blockchain technology and QR-code based systems to safeguard land records and resolve disputes transparently. Reiterating that the “right person in the right position” policy would continue, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to remain accountable to the public in every department.
