Chittoor Deputy Superintendent of Police J. Venkatanarayana on Sunday (May 24, 2026) inspected the Penumuru police station under the Chittoor sub-division limits.

After inspecting the station premises, the official reviewed the pending cases and verified the station records. Interacting with the police personnel, Mr. Venkatanarayana instructed them to discharge duties with sincerity and maintain a people-friendly approach to strengthen public trust in policing. Highlighting the prompt disposal of pending cases, he stressed discipline in station management. He directed officials to enhance CCTV surveillance and maintain strict vigilance over suspicious movements in the jurisdiction.

The Deputy SP further instructed the personnel to organise awareness programmes on women’s safety and cybercrime prevention to sensitise the public. He advised staff to handle complainants with patience and empathy. Penumuru SI Srinivasulu and police personnel participated in the inspection.
