National College is planning to upgrade its student volunteer-driven blood donors’ directory as one of its community engagement programmes, principal D. Prasanna Balaji said on Monday.

At a press conference on Monday, Mr. Balaji said the directory provided a crucial service during medical emergencies to countless members of the public. “We have approximately 5,000 students on our rolls, and we hope to strengthen our blood donors’ directory in the coming days.”

He added that the college would be hosting the International Congress on Renaissance in Sports in 2028, with representatives from over 50 nations set to attend the multi-disciplinary event. Four football players from Morocco would join National College as students and play for the institution in the near future,
